Shadley Associates lead a team of consultants for the design, permitting and construction of a new public park at George C. Sullivan Field in Revere for the Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR). Located on the northwest corner of the intersection of Revere Beach Boulevard and Revere Street and across from the historic Revere Beach Reservation, the new park transforms an empty space into a park focused on activities and programming for residents and visitors. The park is universally accessible with a variety of activites that encourage physical exercise, movement, and social interation. Elements include a multi-purpose lawn space for entertainment and classes, a shade shelter, a plaza area with game tables and seating, a water feature, fitness area with equipment, Bocce courts, and a loop walk. The planting design re-introduces native vegetation for shade, habitat, and climate resiliencey. Sullivan Park was completed in the fall of 2024.
