Shadley Associates recently completed design improvements to two signature open spaces at Providence College. The Aquinas Hall Quadrangle project preserved the character of the historic heart of the campus while greatly increasing its popularity and use. New plantings, lighting, signage and site furniture complement the integration of the topography with walks, walls and stairs as an overall composition.
For the improvements to Saint Joseph’s Hall, SA designed a new pedestrian walk which connects large areas of the upper and lower campus, substantially increasing universal access while bringing needed cohesion to the overall landscape.
All work was achieved under a fast track project schedule in order to accommodate the College’s academic calendar. Shadley Associates is currently working on a third space on the campus.
