JP Shadley has been working with Franklin College since the late 1990’s, when he provided a Landscape Master Planning Report which identified critical site issues and opportunities for the campus. Following the completion of the report, Shadley Associates oversaw a comprehensive revitalization of the many mature and picturesque specimen trees in the campus quad. SA also designed the new campus gateway which included masonry piers and walls, extensive wrought iron fencing, comprehensive signage and ornamental plantings.
Shadley Associates was a member of a team led by architects EYP, updating the College’s Comprehensive Master Plan. This plan provides a focus on sustainability issues, enhanced entrance and edge treatments for the College and improved landscape features in many parts of the campus. SA’s contribution to the planning process has also guided the layout and construction of the College’s major new athletic complex, which includes significant new facilities and infrastructure.
