Quinsigamond Community College

Shadley Associates worked with Gensler and a multidisciplinary team to prepare a certifiable building study for a new classroom building for this Worcester campus.  Site design included an emphasis on water conservation, integrated stormwater management, and low-maintenance, ecologically appropriate planting design.  In addition, Shadley Associates prepared alternative site designs that address accessible routes between the new building and other campus destinations; the alternatives accommodated 46 vertical feet of grade change.  Site designs also addressed site furnishings such as benches, trash receptacles and bicycle parking, site lighting, and landscaping.
